- Advocate for the education of the whole person in a safe and healthy learning environment that demonstrates mutual respect and order.
Our counseling program:
- Provides academic, career, social and emotional development for every student to prepare for postsecondary planning to achieve lifelong goals.
- Uses data from needs assessments at the school and district level to drive program development, for evaluation of the effectiveness of our current program, as well as to actively monitor student progress.
- Will plan and deliver interventions by engaging students in the classroom, group, and/or individual activities in order to foster the development of critical thinking skills to assist students in making responsible decisions.
- Is implemented by professional school counselors who hold master’s degrees in school counseling and Illinois state certifications in school counseling.
- Will follow the professional school counseling ethical guidelines as advocated by the American School Counselor Association and participate in professional development to maintain a quality school counseling program.
